Venue: ICMAT-CSIC, Spain. From: April 5, 2010 to: June 26, 2010
| Alexander Lundervold is employed full-time as a PhD-student at University of Bergen, Department of Mathematics, Norway. His project, together with Manuel de León, consists of to participate at the Trimester in Combinatorics and Control (CoCo) taking place mainly in Madrid and partly in Zaragoza from April 6th until June 25th, 2010. The aim of CoCo is to accelerate the research in the interface between (algebraic) combinatorics and control theory, and the program fits very well with his own PhD research project. About his work: "My collaborators in the "research in teams" are also people with whom I've worked with in the past. In particular, the principal researcher on the team focusing on the algebra of stochastic simulation and control is Simon Malham (Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland). He was recently visiting Bergen and we had discussions that we plan to continue in the proposed "research in teams" project. The period of "research in teams" will also include visits from many high-level researchers from fields related to my own, and discussion with them will probably give me much insight into the problems I am working on in my own projects" |
