Manuel García is interim professor at Universidad de La Coruña, Spain.

He has worked together with Thore Egeland recently, in collaboration with other researchers from the INstitute of Legal Medicine of Santiago de Compostela and the Fundación Favaloro de Buenos Aires. In this work, which belongs to the field of population and forensic genetics, different statistical procedures and intensive simulation approaches were used to evaluate different methods carried aout at present to correct for the eeffect of population stratification, a very important problem regarding the results obtained in forensic cases in stratified populations.
