Abel Grantee profile: ELISABETTA TEDESCHI

Elisabetta Tedeschi is a post-doc at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Electric Power Engineering.

During her research stay in Bilbao, Dr. Tedeschi collaborated with Prof. José Luis Martin Gonzalez at the University of the Basque Country and with the professionals at the Marine Energy Unit at Tecnalia Technology Corporation.

About her work:

“My research topics are mostly in the field of renewable wave energy applications, specifically concerning:

- Optimization of the power extraction from point absorbers in heave by convenient choice of the control strategy.

- Investigation of suitable solutions for Wave Energy Farms focusing on the issue arising from their grid integration”.

Activities carried out during the grant:

Seminar:  “Renewable wave energy: potential and technical challenges”
