Applications must be submitted online through the UCM pre-enrolment website. Applicants must complete the application and upload the required supporting documents.

Applicants aged over 25, 40 or 45 (groups 3, 4, 5): specific admission procedures apply.

Applicants who took the PAU/EvAU in Madrid between 2010 and 2026 are generally exempt from uploading academic documents, except in specific cases.

General documents (all applicants):

• DNI, NIE or passport.

• Academic documents according to the admission category.

Specific documents (depending on the admission group):

• PAU/EvAU: Official examination results, including additional subjects where applicable.

• EU education systems, countries with reciprocal agreements and European/International Baccalaureate: UNEDasiss accreditation and admission score, where applicable.

• Non-EU education systems without reciprocal agreements: Bachillerato homologation, UNEDasiss accreditation and Bachillerato modality obtained through Specific Competency Tests (PCE).

• University graduates with foreign qualifications: Homologation or declaration of equivalence, academic transcript and Spanish average-grade equivalence.

• Applicants over 25, 40 or 45: Documentation corresponding to their admission procedure.

Spanish language requirement: B2-level Spanish is generally required for applicants from non-Spanish-speaking countries and education systems, subject to applicable exceptions.

Group 6: Applicants with foreign Bachillerato qualifications who do not meet the requirements for the main admission groups may apply through a separate, lower-priority procedure, subject to available places and specific requirements.

Applicants can check their results and download admission letters online. Appeals concerning UCM degrees must be submitted electronically through the admission application.

Appeals based solely on not reaching the cut-off score are not accepted.

The six public universities in Madrid (Alcalá, Autónoma, Carlos III, Complutense, Politécnica and Rey Juan Carlos) form a single admissions district.

Applicants submit one application, listing up to 12 degree choices in order of preference.

For 2026-2027, additional/voluntary PAU/EvAU examination results from 2024, 2025 and 2026 may be used, subject to applicable requirements.

Admission requirements vary according to the applicant's qualifications and education system.

Applicants aged over 40 or 45 accessing university through the specific entrance procedures must apply separately to each university.
