General Information

Seville, the capital of Andalusia, is a very attractive city located in the Southwest of the Iberian Peninsula with over 700,000 inhabitants. It is famous for its historic monuments, squares and taverns. The nearest international airports are Seville (10 Km), Jerez de la Frontera (70 Km) and Malaga (200 Km), from these cities daily flights to Madrid and Barcelona are operated. The high speed train AVE takes 2.5 h from  Madrid. The Symposium will be held at the “Diputación of Seville” located in the city centre, not far away from the Archive of the Indies, where the historical records of the American continent are kept. More Information.

About the Meeting

Following the tradition of previous events, the fifth Symposium will cover a broad range of topics related to the breeding and keeping of South American Camelids in Europe. This unique opportunity will allow the experience of both South American and European experts to be combined. The invitation to participants interested in other fibre producing animals is expected to stimulate the exchange of knowledge und thus enabling their expertise to be implemented on a more general scale.
