The past and the future of an object flow from an image which conveys the feeling of calm. The past is reflected in the contours of the shape smoothed and polished by the rubbing of the sea over hundreds of years. The present is only an apparent destiny: a bed of sand turned to gold by the southern sun. The future begins with the incoming wave which will drag it out to sea. Life, like the incoming wave, is unknown and unseen until it finally arrives to offer us new presents and destinies. Now the beach is our destiny.
