Dissertations available at the Mathematics Library:
Collections:
a) <1979 dissertations. Includes the collection of theses and dissertations submitted since late nineteenth century to 1979. It is located in the Closed Bookstack. It is possible to request them for use in library only. Its call number is composed of: FT, place where it was submitted and year of submission. E.g. FT UCM 1930. This collection basically gathers Spanish dissertations (including those submitted in the UCM) and foreing ones (specially French and German).
b) >1980 dissertations. Includes the collection of printed theses and dissertations submitted since 1980. It is located on a free access in the Research Library. Home lending is allowed except for dissertations yet unpublished. Its call number consists of: IT, Place and year of submission. This collection basically gathers dissertations submitted in the UCM.
c) Microfilmed dissertations. Includes the collection of Spanish dissertations (except for UCM) in microfiche submitted during the 80's and 90's. They will be requested at the Research Library's circulation desk and can be borrowed. You can find a microfiche reader available in the Communication Studies Library. They call number consists of TM-University' acronym-year of submission. E.g. TM UAB 1997.
d) UCM Dissertation in CD-ROM. Includes the collection of dissertations in CD-ROM submitted in the Faculty of Mathematics since 1991. They will be requested at the Research Library's circulation desk and can be borrowed. Their call number is analogous to the >1980 dissertations.
